This challenging position will be responsible for analyzing costs and the preparation of formal quotations for job-shop manufacturing services that primarily include production and toolroom machining for a large customer base from various industries. Services include CNC turning and milling (vertical & horizontal) of various materials and lot sizes, prototype machining, welding & fabrication, and designing and building jigs, fixtures, gages and various other tooling items.
Prefer community college or apprenticeship graduate with a minimum of three years of technical experience or the equivalent working as a Manufacturing Engineer and/or Tooling Engineer. Must have good verbal and written communication skills, the ability to interface well with suppliers and customers, and a desire to work in an interesting fast-paced environment. Must be proficient with computers and various softwares - particularly spreadsheets (Excel).
MANUFACTURING ENGINEER / ENGINEERING TECH.
This individual will be responsible for maintaining & supporting existing manufacturing processes (primarily machining) and designing/implementing processes for new product or for continuous improvement. The setting is a contract manufacturer (job shop).
Duties May Include :
Cutting tool selection & justification.
Tool/fixture design & build coordination.
Ability to multi-task and organize/lead projects.
CNC / CMM programming.
Process implementation & verification (PPAP, statistical analysis).
Process trouble-shooting & continuous improvement.
Cost estimating & monitoring.
Flow analysis & cell design.
Equipment selection & justification.
Requires minimum 3-yrs similar experience. Desire college degree (2yr or 4yr), but not required with extensive experience. Hands-on machining experience would be a plus.
Experience necessary in project management. Exposure to Lean, PPAP, 8D, DFM, and similar is beneficial.
Must interact well with customers, suppliers, management, co-workers, and shop-floor employees. Also requires good oral and written communication skills and experience in Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and CAD/CAM software.
TOOL ROOM MACHINIST
1st or 2nd SHIFT
Seeking experienced individuals to join our highly skilled group. Be able to walk in and be self-directed and productive in a shop with various manual mills & lathes, drills, grinders, etc. Ability to also use CNC machines would be great.
Challenging projects involving the build of jigs, fixtures, gages, prototype parts, special equipment and low volume parts.
Should be capable of working with minimum instruction and independently or with co-workers to complete projects according to reasonable time estimates and established delivery schedules.
Duties may also include using skills to build new, repair, or perform routine maintenance of such items used in our production area.
CNC SETUP OPERATOR / OPERATOR
1st & 2nd Shift
Seeking people experienced in the setup and operation of CNC lathes, vertical machining centers, and horizontal machining centers. Ability to read prints and use various gages is also necessary. Positions may require some programming and/or program debug if qualified. Experience with Okuma OSP & Fanuc controls is beneficial, but not required. We will train capable candidates that want to learn.

Duties will include various labor activities in a manufacturing environment. Unpacking and inspecting parts to customer specifications. Remove rust by lowering parts into a non toxic liquid rust remover. Deburring. Parts washing. Packaging. Operation of equipment. Some bending, twisting and standing required during the entire shift (parts may weigh up to 25 lbs).
